Description: Swiss born in 1893, Karl Berger studied with Postiglioni in Naples and then worked for Silvestre and Maucotel in Paris and in Mittenwald. Established himself in NY in 1926. Branded internally. This viola is really a beautiful instrument with a strong, rich tone. Excellent condition. 16¾ inches back length.
