Description: Jacques Camurat was born in 1927 in Madrid, Spain. Before opening his own workshop at 49 rue de Rome in 1957, Camurat moved to the French capitol to train under Dieudonńe in the art of violin making. Jacques Camurat retired in 1990 and is now succeed by his sons Pascal and Bernard. This particular viola is currently in excellent condition and a fine example of French artistry. Back length: 16.5″
