The Maker
Alex Moro is a bow maker based in Port Townsend, Washington. Working with carefully selected materials, he builds custom bows with precision and attention to balance, aiming to bring clarity and confidence to the player’s hand. Before turning to bow making, Alex worked in the repair and restoration of historic wooden boats, developing a strong appreciation for craftsmanship and fine detail. He began formal bow-making training in 2020 with Christopher Dickson, later studying with Ole Kanestrom and receiving guidance from Charles Espey. He draws inspiration from historic bows and is a member of the International Pernambuco Conservation Initiative.
