The bow is mounted in silver and ebony, with pearl eyes and a silver faceplate that complement its clean, elegant look. An ebony button fitted with two silver rings completes the design. He draws artistic inspiration from pelagic birds, aiming to create bows that give players confidence and clarity. Before bow making, Alex restored historic wooden boats, a craft that sharpened his eye for design and precision. Trained by Christopher Dickson, later studying with Ole Kanestrom and guided by Charles Espey, he developed a deep appreciation for classic makers. Alex is a member of the International Pernambuco Conservation Initiative.
