Description: Alfio was born in1903 in Chianciano Italy. Studied violin making in Florence under Valentino de Zorzi. Started a shop in Florence Italy, then move to Chicago in 1947 and worked for Kagan & Gaines. Moved to Los Angeles in 1950 and worked for Hans Weisshaar for 13 years. Most of his instruments were made in Florence.
This viola is in excellent condition with a powerful, rich and well-rounded tone.
