The Bow
Morgan Andersen made this cello bow. It produces a clear, crisp tone and remains evenly balanced throughout. The bow weighs 81.3 grams.
The Maker
Morgan Andersen graduated from the Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City before spending 1978 and 1979 learning the art of bow making with Frank Passa in San Francisco. Passa had worked with Simone Sacconi at the Wurlitzer shop in New York and had also received guidance in his own bow making from Emile Ouchard.
After his time with Passa, Andersen returned to his native Washington State, where he has remained a self-employed bow maker ever since. His training traces back through a distinguished lineage of American and French bow making influence, reflected in the precision and balance of his work.
