Description: This is the latest Eric Benning cello completed in 2014. Beautiful Bosnian maple which has been in our family for over 3 generations. The top of Italian Spruce was from the 1920’s. The Stradivarius model comes from Carl Becker from Chicago, Eric’s Great-Uncle. The varnish is a vivid orange-brown over a golden ground. This cello has a deep, rich tone on the bottom strings and a penetrating, soloist top end. Suitable for the finest soloists and those who are aspiring.
