The Violin

This Guarneri-model violin was made by Brian Benning under the close guidance of his father, Hans Benning. The violin features a striking one-piece back of Bosnian maple with deep, “pillow” flame, paired with a two-piece top of Italian spruce showing straight, even grain. Careful workmanship and thoughtful arching give the violin a sound that is rich, focused, and penetrating, with excellent projection and clarity. It responds easily across the register and offers a strong, confident voice. This violin represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a Benning instrument at a very approachable price
