The Viola
The truly exceptional tone of this Bronek Cison viola immediately sets it apart. Its sound is deep, rich, and resonant, with wonderful projection and a smooth, velvety character throughout every register. The two-piece maple back displays medium flames descending from the center joint, with matching maple used for the ribs and scroll. The two-piece spruce top has straight, medium-width grain that gradually widens toward the flanks. A warm orange-brown varnish over a golden ground completes this beautifully crafted and remarkably powerful viola.
