The Violin

Cameron Robertson made this violin in Atlanta in 2017, and it remains in mint condition. It reflects the careful training and the restoration experience he brings to every instrument.

The tone is clear and warm across all four strings. This Cameron Robertson violin answers evenly, so it suits a wide range of repertoire. The back measures 35.7 cm.

Mint condition matters more than players sometimes expect. This Cameron Robertson violin offers the fresh setup and the stability of a new instrument, and the warmth of sound makes it easy to settle into right away.

For a student or a professional looking for a well-made modern American instrument, it is a smart choice. First, it is ready for the stage immediately. Second, it works across solo, chamber and orchestral playing. Finally, this Cameron Robertson violin should keep developing in sound with regular use. Nothing about it needs attention before a first rehearsal.

The Maker

Cameron Robertson began studying violin making at the Violin Making School of America in 2003. He graduated in 2007 under Peter Prier, Charles Woolf and George Meiwes. Then he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked at the Williams Gengakki Violin Shop.

He continued his studies through the advanced Oberlin summer restoration programs. Later he led Beau Vinci Violins in Alpharetta before setting up his own Atlanta shop, where he still makes fine instruments.

So a Cameron Robertson violin reflects a thorough American training. Because he restores old instruments as well, he understands closely how the great ones are built, and that knowledge shows in his own work.
