Maker: Joseph Henry
Description: Joseph Henry was born in Mirecourt, France in 1825 where he was trained and started in his career as a bow maker. After moving to Paris, he became an apprentice at the Dominique Peccatte workshop, where he slowly started to develop his own style of bow making. Around 1848, Henry decided to collaborate with Pierre Simon for a short time. Finally, in 1851, Henry decided to work independently and he began making his finest quality bows.
This particular bow is in good, used condition at this time. The frog and button are not original and the stick has had a repair to the tip. The tip was repaired with Kevlar and is very solid at this time. This is an interesting opportunity to purchase a fine bow for a fraction of the price.
Certified by Paul Childs. Weight: 79.0 grams.
