The Maker
Paul Siefried was one of the most distinguished American bowmakers and restorers, whose career spanned over four decades. He achieved exceptional recognition by winning three Gold Medals at each of the two Violin Society of America (VSA) competitions he entered (1978 and 1980). Beyond his acclaimed bow making, Siefried was particularly revered for his legendary restoration work, which set new standards and established him as the premier U.S. restorer for antique bows.
